CRITERIA
Basic Immigration Criteria (for Employees):
1. Work Experience: Applicants must have work experience in either NOC 4411 Home Child Care Provider or NOC 4412 Home Support Worker. A minimum of 2 years' work experience is required to apply for Permanent Residency (PR).
2. Job Offer: Applicants must have a valid, genuine job offer from a Canadian employer.
3. Language Skills: A minimum of CLB 5 (Canadian Language Benchmark) in English or French.
4. Education: At least 1 year of post-secondary education or an equivalent qualification recognized by Canadian standards.
Job Offer Criteria (for Employers):
1. The job offer must be made using Offer of Employment IMM 5983.
2. The job must be full-time and located anywhere in Canada, excluding Quebec.
3. The job offer must align with either NOC 4411 (Home Child Care Provider) or NOC 4412 (Home Support Worker).

STEP BY STEP PROCESS
1. Employer Extends a Job Offer:
- The employer must provide a genuine, full-time job offer to the caregiver. This offer must meet the criteria for either NOC 4411 or NOC 4412 and be made using IMM 5983.
2. Employee Applies for a Work Permit:
- Once the caregiver has received the job offer, they can apply for a work permit to come to Canada.
3. Work Permit Approval:
- The work permit is approved, allowing the caregiver to work in Canada and gain the necessary Canadian work experience.
4. Gaining Work Experience:
- Caregivers must work in Canada for at least 2 years in the role specified by their work permit to qualify for permanent residence.
5. Apply for Permanent Residence:
- After accumulating the required 2 years of Canadian work experience, caregivers can apply for permanent residency under the **Express Entry** system or other applicable immigration pathways.
